The Montfort School Chennai Alumni Reunion Meet held on August 15th at 12:00 PM was a grand success, with over 150+ alumni students from various batches spanning from 2008 to 2023 coming together to relive old memories and create new connections..
Distinguished guests includes former Principals Rev. Bro. George Vaz, Rev. Bro. K K Thomas, Principal & Correspondent Rev. Bro. Stephen Xavier, Vice Principal Rev. Bro. Packianathan and Principal of Montfort ITI Rev. Bro. Deepan graced the event with their presence. The event commenced with a formal introduction by MASA Vice President Joshua Rajesh, setting the tone for the day's proceedings.The ceremonial lighting of the lamp signified the illuminating journey of Montfort School and its alumni.
A captivating prayer dance performance added a touch of spirituality to the gathering. The insightful speeches delivered by our esteemed guests resonated with the audience, underscoring the importance of camaraderie and the indelible impact of Montfort School.
The event also featured addresses from Secretary Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari and Treasurer Mrs. Poonam, highlighting the role of alumni in upholding the school's legacy. A sumptuous lunch provided an opportunity for alumni to reconnect and share stories of their experiences at Montfort.
One of the highlights of the event was alumni sharing their personal experiences at Montfort School. These anecdotes evoked nostalgia and a sense of belonging among attendees. Additionally, alumni presented valuable suggestions to enhance the school's programs and facilities.
A spirited group photo session captured the joyous moments of the reunion, preserving memories for years to come. The event concluded with a heartfelt speech by MASA Assistant Secretary Surya Baskaran, expressing gratitude and hope for future gatherings.The alumni reunion meet proved to be a day of profound reminiscence and connection for all attendees. The event kindled nostalgia and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those present, making it a truly memorable occasion.

The slogan” ONCE A MONTFORTIAN, ALWAYS A MONTFORTIAN….” remains ETERNAL in each and every ex-Montfortian, who have passed out of Montfort Mat.Hr. Sec.School.St.Thomas Mount, Chennai.
The Alumni Association started by our pioneer Bro. George .V.M was brought to full swing by our present Principal & Correspondent Bro. K.K. Thomas . During the meet , the upgradation of the school was highlighted and the credit was given to the pastpupils who have contributed a great extent. The office bearers were elected from those who were present for the meeting and some policy decisions were made.

The proclaimed aims and objectives of the Association are:
- To promote and foster mutually beneficial interaction between the Alumni and the present students of the school and between the Alumni themselves.
- To encourage the Alumni to take an active and abiding interest in the work and progress of the Institute so as to contribute towards enhancement of the social utility of their Alma Mater.
- Provide a forum for the alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues of the day, arrange social and cultural functions like Sports day, Unified Sports Day, Annual Day, etc.
- Look after the general interests of the alumni of the School. (Attending periodic meetings, contribute to the school magazine, etc.)
- To organize and establish scholarship funds to help the needy and deserving students.
- To undertake to organize activities of a civic or charitable nature as also to increase public awareness and social development of the nation.

- The office bearers and the executive body members were elected to carry out activities of the Alumni association effectively from the various batches passed out since 2006.
- Every year on August 15 th , a General Body Meeting will be held for all the Alumni Association members. Bye Laws have been framed which was unanimously agreed by the Executive body.
- The Executive Body Members have already enrolled themselves to become a Life Member of the association with a sum of Rs. 500 . Registration has been opened for the others.
- Variuos meetings are held in planning out programs for the General Body Meeting, the Logo for the Alumni Association , fund raiser, broucher preparation, spreading the message through social networks etc.,has been in progress to carry out the Alumni association effectively.
