The 25th Annual Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship on the school campus on 31st July . The chief Guest of the day was Mr. M. Harish [B.E, L.L.B] Member of Legislative Assembly , Alandur. The Guest of Honour was Mr. A. Mahendran , Ex Indian Player ,Joint Secretary, TNSVA & Secretary.

The Programme commenced with a gracious Prayer Dance which was followed by a welcome address and official introduction of the Chief Guest and Guest of honour. The ceremonial March Past was conducted where all the four houses marched in unison lead by their house captains and Asst. House Captains. This was followed by a torch relay by students who made a mark in sports and the Chief Guest Mr. M. Harish officially declared the sports day open.

The tiny tots of LKG to class 5 participated in various class events displaying their remarkable talent, confidence and team spirit. A special display of “MONTFORT 25” and the formation of a “TROPHY” by the students was the highlight of the day. The students participated enthusiastically in a variety of Track and Field Events. The winners of all events were honoured with medals and certificates. The overall championship was received by Antony House . The event was a true celebration of passion, perseverance and pride for all Monfortians.

A two day inter school sports and games event was organized as part of the 25th Silver Jubilee Celebration . All neighbouring schools were formally invited and nearly 20 schools participated in the event. The program started with a welcome dance , hoops drill and Goan dance drill.

Later Track events were organized like 400metres,600 metres,1000 metres,1500 metres and 3000 metres for students .A maximum of 3 participants per school were allowed. Other team events like Basketball, Volleyball and table tennis were also organized. For staff of various schools , volleyball and tabletennis matches were conducted. This event was truly a tribute to 25 glorious years of “Montfort School”.
