24th Annual Sports Day 2025
Montfort Matriculation Higher Secondary School, St. Thomas Mount, proudly celebrated its
24th Annual Sports Day on 14th August 2025 with great pomp, spirit, and camaraderie. The
school grounds echoed with cheers and applause as students, staff, parents, and
distinguished guests came together to witness a day filled with energy, teamwork, and
sporting excellence.
Our Principal and Correspondent ,Rev. Bro. Stephen Xavier delivered the
Presiding Address and felicitated the esteemed Chief Guest Dr. K. Latha Professor &
Director , MIT Campus, Anna University and the Guests of Honour, Dr. Brown Das ,
Chairman, Das Hospitals ,acknowledging their presence and contributions.
The ceremonial Flag Hoisting marked the official commencement of the
Sports Day. The excitement further intensified with the March Past, where each house
displayed coordination, discipline, and unity. The Oath Taking Ceremony and the Lighting
of the Torch by the school’s sports champions inspired a sense of sportsmanship and
determination among the participants.
The class event by LKG and UKG students delighted the audience ,followed by an elegant Yoga display,
Zumba performance ,Stick Aerobics, Lezim Dance Drill, and the Grand Finale. The field came alive
with the adrenaline-pumping 100 metres sprints, 4x100 metres Relays.
The Prize Distribution recognized the efforts of students in relays, class events, and the grand
March Past.
The Winners of the Overall Championship of 2025 - 2026 was the Green Team ,the Antony
House.
The day came to a patriotic close with the National Anthem, marking the end of a
memorable and well-organized sports celebration that embodied the true spirit of Montfort – unity,
perseverance, and excellence.
