Visit to OTA

Students of Classes VI to IX belonging to the NCC, RSP, and Scouts & Guides had the proud opportunity to witness the Passing Out Parade at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai. In September 2025, about 90 students attended the event, and in March 2026, another group of 70 students participated. They were accompanied by their teacher, Mr. Joseph Sangeeth.
On both occasions, the students reported to school at 4:30 a.m. and travelled by bus to the Officers Training Academy. They reached the venue and were seated in the gallery by 5:00 a.m. The parade commenced at 6:00 a.m., presenting a spectacular display of discipline and coordination. The students were deeply inspired as they witnessed the perfectly synchronized marching of the newly commissioned officers. The event provided them with valuable insights into the life of the Armed Forces, highlighting the importance of discipline, leadership, dedication, and patriotism. They also gained a better understanding of the sacrifices made by soldiers who guard the nation’s borders.
It was truly a memorable and inspiring experience for the students. Many of them returned with a renewed sense of respect for the Armed Forces, and some even expressed their dream of becoming military officers in the future. After the parade, the students were treated to delicious refreshments by the Officers Training Academy. The group returned safely to school by 8:30 a.m., carrying with them unforgettable memories and a deep sense of pride.
