14th Unified Sports Meet
Unified Sports for children with inclusion, conducted in collaboration with MCDS on 22nd
November, promoting teamwork and acceptance. The Chief guest for the day was Mr.
Mayilvahanan – International Athlete. The Guest Of Honour Were Mr. Arasu , World Champion ,
Body Building and Dr. MohanaKrishnan , Director Of Physical education , SRM college ,
Kattankaluthur.
13th Unified Sports Meet
The 13th Unified Sports Meet was organised at Montfort School in
collaboration with MCDS, Vidhyasagar , Kare, Abhyas and NIOS.
The day which the differently abled children’s talent were reorganised and
appreciated. The Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Vikramadhithya Menon, Former National
Champion in Tennis. Volunteers from std VIII & IX, NCC, Scouts & Guides, RSP, JRC and
Care takers assisted the children in all events , making their day more memorable.
Certificates ,trophies and medals were given for all the winners.
Inclusive Education
Montfort School is an Inclusive School accommodating children with special needs and
integrating them in regular classes and supporting their therapeutically needs
simultaneously. Currently we have more than 200 students with various special needs who are
autistic, mentally retarded, learning disabled, spastic, physically challenged, visually
challenged, hearing impaired etc, spread across grades.
Students at Montfort are made aware of their social responsibilities towards
the less fortunate counterparts of the society by providing them opportunities to interact
and learn in the mainstream environment
The School also Conducts Unified Sports Meet every year and conducts games &
sports events for children with special needs partnering with other regular children.
