Kindergarten Graduation Day
On Saturday17th February 2024, Kindergarten Graduation Day was organized in a grand manner. Rev. Sr. Alphonse Lawrentia, fmm, Principal of Dominic’s A.I. Hr. Sec. School, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Rev. Sr. Jaya Hilda Rani, fmm Headmistress, Helen’s Hr. Sec. School was the Guest of Honour and distributed the prizes for the award winners . Medals and certificates for all the Upper Kindergarten Graduates was also presented.
The vibrant programme started with a befitting welcome and guard of honour to our distinguished guests, followed by the Lighting of the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest along with the Brothers and some parents and student representative of the KG. The programme comprised of Singing, Verse in Action, Action Dance, Ramp walk , Fusion & Thematic Dances performed by the little angels.The programme comprised of Singing, Verse in Action, Action Dance, Ramp walk , Fusion & Thematic Dances performed by the little angels.The entire show was anchored by the tiny tots of KG which was greatly appreciated by the Chief Guest and all the parents.
The UKG coordinator Mrs J. Frelida Royal presented the Annual Report of the Academic Year which gave a glimpse of the entire year's activities. The Chief Guest in her address highly commended the Principal, Vice Principal, Staff and Students for presenting a wonderful show. She also congratulated the parents for their support and appreciated them for choosing the best school for their children. The programme concluded with the KG Graduation Ceremony and group photos. It was certainly a day filled with lots of memoirs.
Fancy Dress Competition
Fancy Dress competition was conducted in the month of November, many students enthusiastically participated bringing out their creativity in costumes worn and showcasing their language skills.
Test your Language and story telling
This competition was conducted on Jan 18th and Jan 19th which helped the children bring out their creative thinking and improve their speaking skills.. It enhanced their ability to explore and showcase their talents.
Singing Competition
Singing competition was conducted on the 30th of August for UKG , many students participated actively.
Clay Modelling:
On the 12th of October, Clay modelling competition was conducted. Students did a variety of colourful models which was displayed in the classrooms. Our Principal had also visited the classrooms to view the models done by our little ones.
Show & Tell competition
Show and tell competition was conducted on the 26th of October. Children brought their favorite toys and spoke a few sentences about it, this brought out their creativity and language skills.
Art
Art competition was conducted in the month of July 2023.The topics were colouring the tulip and drawing the flower vase, students participated enthusiastically.
Field Trip
The Children were taken to MGM Dizzy World for a one day trip on the 30th Of August. Many students enrolled for the trip and had a memorable day out . Our Principal also accompanied the children for the trip along with the teachers.
Colours Day
On the 13th October, Colours Day was celebrated. Each class had to chose a colour and the children were dressed in that colour attire. The classrooms were decorated beautifully and Principal visited each classroom and well appreciated the students.
Fruit Salad Day
On 23rd of January , Fruit Salad Day was celebrated by UKG. Classrooms were decorated with charts of fruits. Students along with teachers prepared fruit salad .Students did an activity by colouring the various fruits.
Pongal celebration
Pongal, the harvest festival was celebrated on 12th Jan 2024. The tiny tots came dressed in traditional attire, the classrooms were decorated with thoranams, rangoli, sugarcane, Pongal pot. Our beloved Principal and Vice Principal visited each classrooms and conveyed their pongal wishes to the children.
Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving Dad was celebrated on the 24th of November . The notice boards were decorated with quotes on thanksgiving. Children showed their gratitude by lovingly wishing their teachers and appreciating them for the love and care rendered to them.
Diwali
Diwali ,the festival of lights was celebrated on the 10th of November. Children were taken for the special assembly. They also enjoyed doing Diwali activity,they did sequins work and decorated the flower pots and diyas.
Sports Day
Sports day was conducted on July 28th. Class event such as Splash N Dash for the LKG and Under the Sea Wave for the UKG. The children enjoyed thoroughly with lot of excitement and team spirit.
Activity Room
Children are taken twice a week to the activity room where they are taught few skills such as fine motor , gross motor , life skill and art. These skills strengthen the child’s finger muscles ,hand and eye coordination and concentration.
First Day of School for LKG – 15th June 2023
“The most important day of a person’s education is the First Day of School”
On Thursday, 15th June, the tiny tots of the Lower Kindergarten started their first day of school. A Parents orientation was conducted in the auditorium at 9.30 am. It formally began with the Lighting of the Lamp followed by a Prayer song. The LKG coordinator Mrs. Candida Chatelier briefed the parents of the Rules and regulations of the school. The Principal & Correspondent Rev. Bro. Stephen Xavier addressed the parents. He extended a warm welcome to all the parents and students into the Montfort family. He also iterated on how kindergarten education plays a very major role in a child’s life. He requested the parents to give their mutual cooperation, in the best interest of their children and assured that their time at Montfort would be meaningful. The brothers welcomed the children with a rose and chocolate and handed them over to their class teachers. The playground was filled with attractive bouncing castles which engaged the children and made their first day of school more memorable. We look forward to a more promising and fun filled year for all our newbies of the LKG.
